When to Apply for a Patent During Product Development
We recommend you proceed with WIPO/SIPO or any similar shape patent step once the Industrial Design and structural design of your product are complete, in other words, after the Development For Manufacturing (DFM) process is entirely done.
We advise that you optimize your patent coverage by applying for patents and protect your designs against duplication. and choose the right time to ensure maximum protection for your assets, investments and achieve the best patent results.
If you are still concerned about product IP replication or theft of your mold factory design by other entities, you can choose our factory partners. Refer to: Can I trust manufacturers/suppliers recommended by NYCD after design process completed?
